Easter Bonnet Parade!

Oh yes .... I remember having a few of these parades at primary school ..... oh how I loved showing off my creation!

The specs were that you had to use a paper plate, and that you were not encouraged to spend a lot of money on it! Because I'm a crafty person I had all the necessary goodies at home, so it didn't cost me an extra cent!We used 4 paper plates,scrapping paper,tissue paper,buttons and ribbons. The whole project took about 90 minutes. Miss Tanzi did everything except the opening of the paper flowers and the stapling of them onto the bonnet. ~Isn't it pretty?

Getting in a little ME TIME .......

We have been on our summer holiday for a month now ..... it's been great ..... not terribly relaxing for me, as I have been the events co-ordinator and delegated driver! But I have had the odd precious moment to craft ...... one of my favourite things to do!

I have just completed this mirror for a friend's daughter. She had her room made over for Christmas and I think she is going to love it!

Patience and perserverance are virtues .......

....... having them paid off ......... look at what MrGee and Miss Tanzi built ...... I was suitably impressed!

A twist on the ol' American flag ....

CoolDude and Miss Tanzi had a combined family birthday do, as their B-days are 4 days apart. CoolDude loves anything American so he asked for the US flag. Miss Tanzi voiced that she wanted anything pink ..... so voila !!!! hehe

Cooldude was asked to write a silly poem.

Tigger our cat who's small but fat,
likes getting rid of a pesky rat.
All the rats start to scat,
when they see our handsome cat.

Tigger our cat loves Tom and Jerry,
which makes him destructive but fills him with merry.
After that, Tigger goes to play,
under the sun's shining ray.

Tiger our cat, short and hairy,
thinks he's tough, mean and scary.
Now whenever you read of Tigger and Pooh,
always think of our cat too.

My cousin's little boy adores "Mommas" the Tank Engine ! So as a birthday present I made him a cake. (Toy included.)



Lisa asked if I would make a "Pin the smoke on Thomas" poster . The kid who got the smoke closest to Thomas funnel won a prize.
