More Mosaic.................

Recently my spare time(what little I have!) has been occupied with a few mosaic projects!

Here is one that is complete......

It will sit on my dressing table and hold my hairbrushes, combs and make-up brushes.

I am pleased with it...... especially as it fits in beautifully with the existing colour of the main bedroom.

A bit of silly-ness!

Two of WizzKids Limericks.......................

There was an old man from Mars
Who loved to sell beautiful cars
He jumped on a bus
And made quite a fuss
'Cause it was a mission to find earth's bars!

There once was a cat named Dash
Who was scared of a very cold splash!
The day was cool
He fell in the pool
And developed a terrible rash!

He enjoyed this!

Chaos over a pen?

Okay now this is no great shakes, BUT i wanted to show you what has caused a few days of pandemonium in our learning room!
About a week ago I sat making this pen whilst watching rugby and enjoying a good glass of red wine! If I am sitting, watching TV, I need to be doing something with my hands!
On completion.... everyone went "ooooo" and "aaaaaa",except TanziPanzi, who said "Dat is mines!...It got pink!"
Now..... as insignificant as this creative project might seem to some of you,...... it did take me a good 2 hours of work, so I was not going to hand it over that easily!
Everytime she sees it in my hand or on my desk, she starts to cry extremely loudly for it! " It pink.... It for me a girl!"
To keep the peace, I have hidden it and I can't even use the silly pen!

Mom's mosaic!

I hardly ever finish my craft projects! I think it might be because I have high expectations of how it should end up looking..... and when I can see it is not going to meet those expectations, I shelve the project and move onto the next!


Well......... this project I finished,.... and I love! It's my first mosaic piece, and I can't wait to hang it!

Totem Pole Masterpieces!

In creative hour last Friday, the boys made Totem poles out of 'Sunlight' soap. If you attempt this..... here's a little tip. Let the soap dry out for a week so that it not too wet when carving begins.

Look,.....I don't think I'll send them off to be apprentices to some larny sculptor, but they had fun and were very proud of their *masterpieces!*

WizzKid had a bit of time to waste on whatever he pleased so he drew us two....... soooooo in love!!!

I look bigger than Hubby..... maybe that's because I am!!!!! Fatty-boomboom!

My Cat!

Tanzipanzi(2 yrs) just loves cutting and glueing. Here she created a pic of her kitty, Bootz. See the whiskers? I cut out the shapes, and she glued them on!

Cars

O how I would love to drive that fast car
you should see it drive quickly over the tar.
When I wish upon a star
I wish it was that really cool car!

I will buy a Porsche when I am rich
it may go so fast I'll get a stitch.
It will hit bugs because it goes so fast
ans I don't think the screen will last!

Then my next car will be a Dodge Viper
They'll give me a guarantee for the wipers.
But now I am just eight years old
by the time I get big it will be sold!

Autumn

The trees have all turned gold
and so summer grows cold.
They are all losing their leaves
and winter grows near says the breeze.
I walk over leaves that crack
and then suddenly WHACK!
A tree has fallen over
and crushed nearby clover.

Why is it that summer has an end?
Sometimes it sends me round the bend!
Outside things seem mildly cold
everything is starting to look old.
Bolder and bolder Autumn becomes
sometimes I am bored enough to twiddle my thumbs.
But there's one thought that makes me sing
here's what it is....... spring, spring SPRING!

Tanzi's first card ...... a success!

My Dad is staying with us for the next 3 nights! He is a very energetic grandpa..... so we all enjoyed a good 45 minutes on the tennis court before supper! HE IS GOOD! We ran for our money!..... or maybe dinner!!!
Earlier on, Grandpa sat by and watched TanziPanzi and I make a Birthday Card..............

Okay, so I did the cutting, but she did all the glueing and glittering!.She managed to grab the scissors on numerous occasions!!She is very scissor happy!!!!!

Creative Class

On Fridays we don't do History and Science, instead,we do something called "CREATIVE CLASS". After a hard week of work, the boys always look forward to the 2 hours of this class.


Today I presented them with an A2 size paper. The instructions were................. They had to work as a team, they had to fill the whole paper, no scissors were allowed...only glue, and they had to depict a scenery.


I explained what a scenery was, put Beethoven on and VOILA...............................

To be honest, neither of my boys are gifted in the art department, but I was pleasantly surprised at their team effort! It's a castle!

Bussiness Man

CoolDude was asked to write a few sentences on how he would like his life to be when he grows up.
This is it...................

I am going to be a besnes man. And I am going to love it! I can drive a car and visit my mom and dad. I will have kidz that are very smart. My home will be in a very safe place and my wife will be kind and pritty.
When I gro up I will be a christen father and will take my kidz to the church and teach them to be kind to people.


(I mentioned to him that 'kidz' was incorrectly spelt. He said "Mom, I think you've got it wrong, I have seen it spelt like that on cartoons!")

The Wave.

WizzKid's creative task for this week was to write a poem. The only requirements were that the poem was not allowed to rhyme and it was to be about him being stranded on an island. This is what he wrote today ...........in 15 minutes!


THE WAVE!

The sky was bright and blue.
The sea was oh so calm.
Everyone went about their business on this wonderful morning.

The seagulls flocked in the air like confetti,
a sign that we were close to land.
When along came this big blue wave!

So mighty and powerful,
as it got closer it looked silver in the daytime sun.
It touched our boat and there we went,
it had us in it's mighty grip!

It blasted to the land, along with us.
We hit land with a mighty CRASH!
And the wave surged around us.
People were screaming,we have survived.......
but now we fight survival itself, as we are STRANDED!

Jesus.

Jesus is my best friend who makes me happy. He is the Son of God who came to earth so He could be crucified to take away our sins.

He lived in a city called Jerusalem and worked as a carpenter. He must have been very strong, because it was hard work being a carpenter!

At 33 years old, Jesus died on a cross.
There were two men with him. One was mocking him and the other asked to go to heaven with Jesus.

I am so glad Jesus saved us from hell!
