Creative Class

On Fridays we don't do History and Science, instead,we do something called "CREATIVE CLASS". After a hard week of work, the boys always look forward to the 2 hours of this class.

Today I presented them with an A2 size paper. The instructions were................. They had to work as a team, they had to fill the whole paper, no scissors were allowed...only glue, and they had to depict a scenery.

I explained what a scenery was, put Beethoven on and VOILA...............................

To be honest, neither of my boys are gifted in the art department, but I was pleasantly surprised at their team effort! It's a castle!

The Wave.

WizzKid's creative task for this week was to write a poem. The only requirements were that the poem was not allowed to rhyme and it was to be about him being stranded on an island. This is what he wrote today ...........in 15 minutes!

THE WAVE!

The sky was bright and blue.
The sea was oh so calm.
Everyone went about their business on this wonderful morning.

The seagulls flocked in the air like confetti,
a sign that we were close to land.
When along came this big blue wave!

So mighty and powerful,
as it got closer it looked silver in the daytime sun.
It touched our boat and there we went,
it had us in it's mighty grip!

It blasted to the land, along with us.
We hit land with a mighty CRASH!
And the wave surged around us.
People were screaming,we have survived.......
but now we fight survival itself, as we are STRANDED!

Jesus.

Jesus - by CoolDude (8 years)

Jesus is my best friend who makes me happy. He is the Son of God who came to earth so He could be crucified to take away our sins.

He lived in a city called Jerusalem and worked as a carpenter. He must have been very strong, because it was hard work being a carpenter!

At 33 years old, Jesus died on a cross.
There were two men with him. One was mocking him and the other asked to go to heaven with Jesus.

I am so glad Jesus saved us from hell!

When I Grow Up!

When I Grow Up - by Jamie (11)

I had done it!
I had finally passed my test.
Now I was an OFFICIAL salesman!
I am going to sell many more computors.

I drive home in my beautiful new car.
It's been a hard day.
I've had to do exam after exam
But I finally passed!

I cruise into my big driveway
and park my car.
Boy, this house is huge.
It has a giant, colourful garden,
and the inside is so big you could get lost!

I jump onto the leather couch,
turn on the 52 inch flat screen TV and watch Star Wars.
My life is GREAT!
but right now, I'am just a young boy who loves life!

Life as a Jewish slave in Egypt.

Life as a Jewish slave in Egypt. CoolDude (7 yrs)

I am a Jewish slave who lives in Egypt. I am 30 years old and live in a small mud brick house. My days aren’t great because everyday I work hard building pyramids.
I have to drag big slabs of stone to the pyramids. At the end of the day I feel exhausted and miserable!
My family worships the true God. The Egyptians worship idols. If I go and worship God outdoors I will be executed!
I would like to become the King of Egypt, just like Joseph in the Bible did. I would destroy all the idols and let the slaves free.
The slaves would be given a small piece of land next to the river Nile, where the soil is rich.
But, I’m not the King, so tomorrow morning there is another hard day coming!

The End.

Why I am Glad God is Eternal!

by WizzKid ( nearly 11yrs)

I am SO glad God is eternal, because for me, it means that I will never be alone. There will always be God. It means I can ALWAYS praise Him!

God will always watch over me for as long as I live. Then He can watch over my children and my children's children.

There will always be life after death, that is, if you believe in Jesus and ask Him into your heart. When you die you will go to heaven and live FOREVER with Jesus! If God were not eternal .............we would not live with Him forever!

Just imagine what would happen if God WAS NOT ETERNAL!..........
There possibly would be no earth today! Because God would have only existed for a short period of time.
He also would not be able to watch over us on the earth FOREVER!

I am SO GLAD God is Eternal!

Once upon a time

Written by WizzKid- (10and a half years old)

Once upon a time there was a boy named Jabu. Jabu lived with his Mom and Dad. He was very poor. He worked on a farm as a pig boy. His employer was kind and liked to help Jabu, but he too was poor. Jabu's Mom and Dad were too old to work.

One day Jabu walked out to the pig stye, and a voice said "Hello there." Jabu spun around and saw that a pig had talked to him!
Jabu asked "Who are you?" the pig replied, "I have come to grant your wish."
Jabu asked,"Can you make me rich?"
Jabu was instantly on the steps of a magnificent house.
He looked around and saw golden walls with diamonds imbedded in them.
The curtains were made of pure silk. The cushions on the sofa had gold stitches. The stairs were made of silver. If you looked into them you could see your own reflection. In utter shock, Jabu started climbing the stairs. He entered the room where his family were sitting, totally dazed! Jabu started explaining.
The rest of that day was spent exploring there new home.Everything they had longed for, they now had.

A few weeks later , Jabu walked to his old master's place. He arrived there and greeted his old master. They both talked about how things were going. When Jabu left, there on the table was a bag.The old man looked inside it and there, as plain as gold,.....................was a W-H-O-L-E lot of golden nuggets.
The man smiled a wonderful smile!

Pucha!The Cat!

WizzKid (10) had to write a silly poem about one of his pets. To put you in the picture,...... We had another cat called Chelsea who was Pucha's mother. Chelsea ran away a few months ago!

PUCHA!The Cat!

Pucha oh pucha
I love to watchya
chasing that little bird.
Why do you try
until you cry?
You're always the one to be heard!

You are so funny
and white like a bunny.
Tanna beats you black and blue.
You try to fight back,
but instead get a smack,
and run away with us saying shoo!

We are so sorry
your mother looked like a dolly to Tanna
who chased her away.
We know we won't see or hear her again,
but maybe you will someday!

The Man and the Hyena

The Man and the Hyena- An ‘Aesops’ Tale – (CoolDude 7 yrs)

One day a man went out hunting for animals in the jungle. The man saw a hyena running fast towards him.
To escape, he ran up a tree. While he ran up the tree, he dropped his gun.
The hyena sat down near the tree, waiting for the man to come down. The man thought he was safe. The tree was small and the hyena was just able to reach the man’s foot. The hyena started to lick the man’s foot.
After the hyena had licked his foot for a long time, the man bled to death!

The moral of the story………………Never escape up a low tree!

Four Little Tarantulas

Four Little Tarantulas - by CoolDude (7yr)

Once upon a time there were 4 little tarantulas who lived under a big, heavy rock.
The daddy's name was Harry, and he liked to go on long hikes with his son Peter. The mother enjoyed taking their daughter,Cindy, to sing at the top of hill. They all loved each other very much.

On a sunny day, they decided to go on a hike to the Botanical Gardens. They packed sunscreen, caps, water and bugs to eat.
When they arrived at the fountain, they went swimming in the cold, clear water. Suddenly Peter slipped off a rock and fell into the pond! He could not swim and he started to sink. Harry jumped in fast to save him. He dived under the water and dragged Peter out of the pond.
Peter was very happy to be saved.

Harry told Peter to be more careful next time. They all sat down and ate their bugs!

A Trunk in the Attic.

A Trunk in the Attic - by WizzKid (10 yr)

Once there was a small boy called Kimmie. He was a typical six year old. He went to school and had some friends. But he knew something no one else knew. He knew that up in the library's attic there was a trunk! A MAGIC trunk.
You could wish for something then lift the top of the trunk off and 'Hey Presto' there it was!

This is how it all began.......................
Kimmie was in the library, sellecting books, when something extra ordinary happened. He went into the library's attic to see if there were anymore books. Instead he found a large trunk. He opened it but there was nothing inside. He sighed and closed it saying 'I wish there were some more books'. Suddenly.... Kimmie heard an audible 'THUMP'.
He looked around realising it had come from the trunk and there were a whole lot of books he'd been longing for. He was amazed!
He thought 'maybe I can wish for anything'. So he wished for something else and there it was! He was dumbfounded.
He went home and told his parents about the trunk. They did not believe one word!

The next day walking to the library, five older boys pursued him. When he got to the library's attic he wished - 'I wish I had ROCKET BOOTS'. He quickly opened the trunk and there they were. He slipped them on.
They were perfect but, he did not know how to use them. The older boys were almost in the attic.
At the last second, Kimmie clicked his heels together and this activated the boots. He ZOOMED out of the window and got home safely.
Now his parents believed him, when he arrived home in rocket boots!

A Candle.

A Candle – by CoolDude(7 yrs)

“Hello, I am Danny and I am here to talk to you. Have you seen a candle before
Sarah?” asked Danny. “No, because I am blind!” answered Sarah.
“What’s it like being blind?” asked Danny. “It’s boring, because I cannot see ANYTHING,” replied Sarah.
“Well, this is what a candle is like,” said Danny.
“A candle can be blue, white or any type of colour. It is long or short, it is round or square, and at the top of the candle is a piece of string that you light with a match.”
Sarah asked, “What is a candle used for?”
“It is used when it is dark, it brightens up the place with light,” answered Danny.

“I can imagine it in my mind what it looks like. It sounds beautiful!” ended Sarah.

Black Wonder.

Black Wonder - By WizzKid (10 years)

It was a wonderful sunny day in my village. Down by the river peach trees were at last blossoming. The fields looked beautiful. I wanted to dance and sing as Spring was finally here!
The river was flowing again and there was lovely grass for the sheep to eat. I was excited because I was getting my horse today. I would ride him everywhere. Down to the river, over the fields and through the canyons.

I went back to my hut. The hut was big and smelled of freshly baked bread. I reminded Dad about my horse. He told me we would go and get it in an hour.
A whole lot of people had come to our village to sell horses and we were getting it from them.
Outside, some one knocked on the door. It was my friend Bright Sun, who I had known all my life. We both went out and played with the sheep. We decided we would go to the city of Bryto. Bright Sun’s Dad was also buying him a horse today.

When I got my horse it was better than I imagined. He was a black stallion The first thing I did was take him to the city. There, everyone stared at my stallion.
All of a sudden some people started chasing me with guns, but my stallion was too quick for them! The moment my horse saw the gun he turned and bolted with me on his back.
We left the men with the guns way behind us and returned safely to the village. I named my horse Black WONDER for saving my life!
