Buttons and Embellishments

I loved making the Jesse tree ornaments SO much that I decided to try a little bit of polymer clay creating. I just love this medium. I am using Fimo at the moment,but I am aware that there are a other similar products that are just as good.





So these are my first creations...... hopefully they will get better and better!

The Jesse Tree

We had to catch up on the daily Bible readings and hanging of the ornaments, BUT ....... at least the Jesse Tree is up to date..... and I will endeavour to keep it that way! I am reading out of The Message. Even though the lingo is easy to understand, the Bible readings are quite long. Today Miss Tanzi proclaimed " This is boring!" She's only 4 so I will overlook her comment! hehe

This Christmas is going to be a memorable one! Never before have I 'hosted' Christmas! So at the tender age of 29... I mean 39 ..... I am looking forward to having alot of my family over for a delicious feast and some great fellowship!

Mosaic trinket box

I made this for CoolDude's Class teacher as 'an end of year' gift.

It was a quick and easy project. Mosaicing is honestly not as hard as it looks! The end result is always very impressive!

Update on the Jesse Tree.

We should have started hanging the ornaments on the Jesse tree already.
30 November is meant to be the date you begin ......... but I will endevour to start tomorrow morning! The kids are wondering what this tree is all about.... it is the first year we are having a Jesse Tree.

I still have another 6 ornaments to make but I do have a little time on my side! So ............ I'd better get to it!

The start of our Christmas Tree.

Look what we are having for our christmas tree this year! Yes it's a Jesse Tree !

I used this air drying clay to create the symbolic ornaments.

I still need to create a few more ornaments.... and then paint them all.













I am enjoying moulding the symbolic ornaments which will be hung on the wooden tree. The wooden structure will be wrapped with some sort of leaves before the painted symbols get hung!

Blue.

Blue is a pool on a hot summer's day,

Creative laundry handling!

The other day WizzKid presented himself as the walking laundry basket!! He brought down his dirty laundry in such a creative way, that I decided to run for my camera and capture the funny moment!!

Oh, how this pics will be laughed at when he celebrates his 21st!!!!

Latest hair creation!

She does Hair is a blog that inspires me to be creative with my daughter's hair. OKAY so she does battle with the sitting still part and not moaning........ but I think I may have found a way to stop all that ! I sit her infront of the TV with an edible treat!

She's well behaved ........well at least for 15-20 mins!

Update on Mosaic Mirror .....

Have a wonderful weekend..... Thanks to all my friends that are praying for MrGee. The hospital has suggested he goes for a Dialysis lecture quite soon. Tests show he has way to much Urea in his blood.

Mosaic Chess Table

I really enjoyed making this mosaic piece of furniture. Perhaps because I know it is going to be used .............. ALOT! My boys just love chess. I chose the colours to match my lounge.

I just have to sand and varnish the wood , and then it will be totally complete!TanziPanzi did her first proper craft project today. It was looking SO pretty..... and then I think she smudged the black eye paint onto the wing. She said, "I decided to make a duck with a broken wing."
I suppose she's using artistic licence at the age of 4! (hehehe)Good night friends...... I'm off to dinner at my favourite restaurant with my favourite man!
